Editor/Author Biographies
Luís Ferreira is a research member of IPCA 2Ai – Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, heads the Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering and teaches subjects of Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Systems Integration and Architectures in the Hight School of Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Cavado (IPCA). Architectures and Systems Integration, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things and Data Visualization are his main research areas.
António Miguel Rosado da Cruz is Associate Professor in the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, where he teaches since 2005. Previously he worked for 12 years in software industry companies. He is also collaborator in the Software Engineering and Management Group of the ALGORITMI Research Center – University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Informatics Engineering, from the University of Porto, and is PMP – Project Management Professional certified by PMI since 2014. He has participated in several research projects and published several works in Scientific Journals, Conference Proceedings and Book chapters, and has participated in several international scientific events. He has supervised MSc project works/dissertations in the areas of Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information and Communication Technologies.
Estrela Cruz is an Adjunct Professor at the Higher School of Management and Technology, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. She received her PhD in Information Systems and Technologies from University of Minho in 2016. She is a researcher of the ALGORITMI Research Centre, University of Minho in Portugal and ARC4DigiT Research Centre, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. She was a Software Engineer for 13 years in the next companies: Nokia, SIEMENS S.A. and Edinfor (Grupo EDP). Her research interests include business process modeling, software design and modeling, data warehousing and data models.
Hélder Quintela works at the Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave in the Centro de Inovação e Investigação em Ciências Empresariais e Sistemas de Informação.
Maria Manuela Cruz-Cunha is a Full Professor in the School of Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave, Portugal. She holds a Dipl. Eng. (5 years) in the field of Systems and Informatics Engineering, an M.Sci. in the field of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, a Dr.Sci in of Production Systems Engineering and Habilitation in Informatics Engineering. She teaches subjects related with Information Systems, Information Technologies and Organizational Models to undergraduate and post-graduate studies. She has authored and edited 28 books and her work appears in 200 papers published in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. She is founder and conference chair of the “CENTERIS – Conference on ENTERprise Information Systems”, “ViNOrg – Conference on Virtual and Networked Organizations Emergent Technologies and Tools” and “SeGAH – Serious Games and Applications for Health”. She is the editor-in-chief of the “International Journal of Web Portals” and serves as associate editor of some journals.
