Editor/Author Biographies
Darcia Roache worked for private and public sector organizations in Jamaica in the capacity of accountant, director of administration, and acted as chief executive officer. Her work experiences also included research assistant, programme leader, and faculty for organizations and universities in Canada, America, and Jamaica. Her passion for education led to her completion of a master and doctoral degrees in Business Administration. Dr. Roache is a member of the Finance and Operations’ Committee at British Educational Research Association (BERA), London, as well as the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) and the Canadian Associate for the Study of Educational Administration (CASEA). Dr. Roache's career is driven by her passion for administrative work, education, and learning. She works as research supervisor, second examiner, and faculty for the University Canada West, Capilano University, University of the People and University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, and The Management Institute for National Development (Jamaica). Dr. Roache obtained her second PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. She has published several peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and book reviews on educational leadership, transformational leadership, positive leadership practices, social inequities, manifestation of microaggression, mid-career leadership, and promoting wellbeing in higher education. Dr. Roache is a firm believer in the Lord Jesus, who guides and directs her pathway. Her career ambition is to become a professor at any university in the world.
