The Importance of Power Publishing Day
Power Publishing Day was an opportunity to have publishers and industry experts come together and directly communicate with researchers in the academic community about open access publishing. IGI Global’s session aimed to further enable the conversation and build upon the understanding of the open access movement, specifically regarding the benefits of open access, funding opportunities, converting standard work to open access and more. IGI Global supports researchers looking to publish under OA by offering a full portfolio of 175+ highly cited (Web of Science (WoS) Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and WoS Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)) OA journals. With IGI Global having already transformed their full portfolio of journals to open access in 2023, they continue to advance the OA movement ahead of the cOAlition S 2024 transformation mandate to end financial support for OA publishing under transformative arrangements.
